Aviso — a pioneer in AI-powered sales guidance and forecasting — announced it has appointed veteran artificial intelligence and machine learning researcher Joy Mustafi as Chief Data Scientist. Mustafi is a former Principal Researcher for Salesforce’s Einstein platform and he will utilize decades of experience to help Aviso customers accelerate deal-closing and expand revenue opportunities.
Mustafi is known as one of the top 10 data scientists by Analytics India Magazine. And he led data science research at tech giants like Salesforce, Microsoft, and IBM. Plus he won 50 patents and authored over 25 publications on AI.
While at IBM, he worked for a decade as a Data Scientist involved in a variety of business intelligence solutions, including IBM Watson. And at Microsoft, he worked as Principal Applied Scientist where he was responsible for AI research.
Mustafi is also known as the Founder and President of MUST Research, a non-profit organization promoting excellence in the fields of data science, cognitive computing, artificial intelligence, machine learning, and advanced analytics for the benefit of society.

Aviso also recently announced the appointment of Dr. Shiamalee Perumal as Chief Customer Officer. Dr. Perumal has driven commercial success and new business development for a range of Fortune 50 corporations and bluechip B2B SaaS technology companies. And during her decade-long tenure at GE, Dr. Perumal spearheaded go-to-market strategies for global sales teams to improve productivity and drive growth. Before joining Aviso, Dr. Perumal was VP of Customer Strategy at Workhuman and Tact.ai, where she was instrumental in helping both companies drive exceptional customer experiences and outcomes.
