REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, SUKABUMI – Data mining is a very popular science lately. The era of digitalization like now has a lot to store data in digital form. One of them is in the field of finance, but the data is only in the form of stored facts and have no meaning. So that data can produce value, then people or companies can use data mining as a solution.
Universitas Bina Sarana Informatika (UBSI) Faculty of Engineering and Informatics (FTI) successfully held a NEXT ‘Notable Expert Talk’ webinar on the topic of ‘Data Mining For Finance Analyst’ which was carried out through the Zoom application last Friday (5/15).
The resource person presented at the webinar this time was an expert and had been involved in the field of data mining research, namely Rizal Amegia.
“In data mining research, of course you must have the data to be processed, the second is to determine the object to be examined, then look for references either from journals or experts to determine the variables to be used, the last choose an algorithm that is suitable for processing the data,” Rizal said as quoted in the release received by Republika.co.id.
Rizal hopes that with the implementation of this webinar, many will be inspired to research data mining so that they can utilize data that had no meaning to have meaning and can make applications become smart and produce solutions.
This webinar successfully invited the enthusiasm of hundreds of participants from among students, lecturers and the general public. The material presented was the role of data mining, the benefits of data mining in the digitalization era, and the use of data mining in credit worthiness using the RapidMiner tool.
“This activity aims to broaden scientific insights in the field of data mining in the digitalization era by applying the Rapidminer tool to participants who took part in this webinar. Because seeing the current development of data science that is starting to be needed in every sector of life today, “concluded Dr. Didi Rosiyadi MKom as the Dean of FTI UBSI Campus.
